Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Great Commission - Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

Faith Promise Missions

Each March, Bethany emphasizes missions through a Faith Promise.  It is a promise to God based upon your faith to Him to provide through you.  It has absolutely nothing to do with your regular tithes and offerings to the church, but is solely for the purpose of giving to missions.

A Faith Promise is not a pledge based on your income, but a promise based on your faith.  it allows God the opportunity to provide through you the support of the missionaries in the missions program of Bethany Christian Church.  This promise lasts for one year, until next year's Faith Promise Day.

Prayerfully consider the promise you make each spring.  The basis for your promise should not be what you know you can do or how emotional you are when you make your pledge, but how much faith you have in God.  The Faith Promise pledge cards are not signed, and no one will know the amount you have promised.  The pledge cards are only a way for us to plan our missions giving for the upcoming year.

Romans 1:17 says, "The righteous shall live by faith," and II Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight."  In every period of bible history, God has blessed those who have walked by faith in Him.  Read Matthew 6:19-34 for God's promised care to those who put Him first.  The Faith Promise is a very practical way to allow us to walk by faith as our spiritual ancesstors did.

The missions team collects and disperses the gifts, under the direction of the elders.  Here are the mission entities that Bethany Christian Church supports:
